The same is true for ambulance volunteers who dedicate their free time and services to save the lives of others. They are among the many heroes of today. They offer their whole-hearted services free of charge to help people in life-threatening situations. They go out of their own way to be of service in their respective communities. Their full commitment to serve their countrymen serve as blessing to patients who need them the most, as well as medical practitioners who have become short-handed because of the many growing number of patients.
Most of the ambulance volunteers are those who have already retired from their profession, townspeople, students, homemakers, and business owners, to mention the least. These people passed thru several months of training and drills before they earn a certification after successfully completing the requirements imposed by the state. They are members of non-profit organizations who establish partnership with hospitals in the state. Every year, they undergo several drills and hands-on training to maintain their certificates as medical providers as well as updating their knowledge, approach, and skills in handling different cases.
